About Jógasetrið

Jógasetrið is a warm home for all ages, where we nurture body, soul and spiritual wellbeing, in your own way.

Yoga means union

Here, your inner creative power meets the energy of the universe, deepening your connection to your own purpose and to the infinite. The practice awakens your inner energy, strengthens focus and willpower, eases stress and anxiety, and brings precious peace and joy into everyday life.

Auður Bjarnadóttir, owner and director of Jógasetrið, teaches here together with a group of wonderful teachers who share their experience with care and respect. We offer a variety of courses such as Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Nidra, pregnancy yoga and mom & baby yoga. You are always warmly welcome to come to a free trial class and experience the atmosphere here.

Before class, it's lovely to arrive in stillness about 10 minutes early to relax, let tension go and let your breath deepen. It's best to be barefoot in comfortable, loose clothing and not to have eaten a large meal for three to four hours beforehand. Bring your own water bottle and drink plenty of water afterwards, and there are good showers here too.

Yoga is for you, exactly where you are, each and every time.
