Kids Yoga
In Kids Yoga the focus is on play and joy
The children learn yoga poses and exercises that strengthen balance, focus and coordination. They learn different meditation techniques, which are a lovely preparation for inner calm and concentration. At the end of class the children are guided into a short relaxation, which is just as important as the yoga movements and breathing. Children are wonderfully quick to take yoga in and feel how it helps them in life and play!

About the course
In this course the children learn breathing exercises, yoga and relaxation through games, stories and movement. Parents join the classes, and their participation and interest can help the child engage. "Together is fun".
The course is varied and built so that, by repeating basic yoga poses, breathing, mantra singing and relaxation, the child grows in their yoga practice. The exercises strengthen balance, focus and coordination. The games and flowing movements in class also help build the child's body awareness and spatial sense. The child's needs and wishes always come first. Singing mantras with hand movements (mudras) is not only fun, it also practices coordination and focus and builds a sense of togetherness in the group. At the end of class the child is guided into a short relaxation, which is just as essential as the other yoga movements and the breathing exercises.
Kids Yoga has to be fun. It's a place of trust and respect, where it matters that every child can shine.

"Give your child the gift to breathe, relax, play, feel, enjoy and simply be"

Wow, I didn't know you could enjoy yourself so much out in the grass and nature. Doing yoga is better than eating rice pudding.

I can truly recommend the Kids Yoga courses. My daughter first took a course where a parent came along and joined in. The classes are full of play and fun, and she always came out beaming, relaxed and singing, and felt the classes went by far too fast. Now she has started a course for older kids and looks forward to coming every Sunday to learn more and practice through play.

I want to say thank you from both of us. My girl is so happy with you. She always comes home so happy from her yoga classes, and I see a change in her too. Now she does all kinds of yoga poses she didn't want to do before she started yoga with you. Thank you.

My son, in his third year, asks me morning and night to play the wonderful CD: Krakkajóga (Kids Yoga). He loves doing all the animals with Auður and the kids on a sunny day in Iceland. "Do yoga with kids!" he shouts over breakfast and again over dinner. He tries all the yoga poses with surprisingly good results. It's a truly wonderful CD.

We are so happy with Kids Yoga. Guðrún Eva, 4 years old, is always excited to go and loves the classes. It suits us well that the classes follow the same structure, yet there is always a new twist and new exercises each time. The same but not the same 😉 Wonderful classes and a wonderful teacher.

My daughter loves yoga with you. She struggles with a lot of anxiety, low self-esteem and stress, which has held her back a lot in other sports. Now she enjoys herself fully and looks forward to every class. Alongside yoga she swims once a week. We would honestly love to have more yoga classes each week. I wholeheartedly recommend these wonderful classes.
