SUNNA MARÍA SCHRAM
Midwife
Sunna is a trained nurse and midwife. She has worked in the neonatal unit, on the labor ward and in prenatal care, and for many years worked at Björkin supporting births outside the hospital. Today she works on the labor ward at Landspítali and is studying pastoral care. She also offers counseling at Auðnast clinic, where she works with women of childbearing age in processing and debriefing conversations. Sunna has practiced yoga since the turn of the century and completed a 200-hour yoga teacher training at Jóga Shala, focusing on vinyasa flow, in 2024. Sunna brings creative energy to everything she does, big and small, and is a feminist to her fingertips with a strong sense of justice. Her recipe for happiness: time with her children, practice on the yoga mat, mindfulness in nature with a dash of dancing, good coffee and a carefree spirit.
