We are so lucky to welcome Sæunn Kjartans for a special gathering for you and your partner.
Sæunn is the author of the books ÁRIN SEM ENGINN MAN (The Years No One Remembers) and FYRSTU 1000 DAGARNIR (The First 1000 Days)
In this gathering with Sæunn Kjartansdóttir we will explore the feelings and thoughts that come with expecting a baby.
Among other things we will talk about:
- The different roles of dad and mom
- How pregnancy affects the relationship
- How the parents affect the baby in the womb
- Irrational thoughts and feelings
- The parents' own childhood experiences
There will be plenty of space for the questions and reflections of parents-to-be about everything that comes with bringing a baby into the world.
Sæunn Kjartansdóttir, nurse and psychoanalyst, specializes in the bond between parents and babies. She was one of the founders of the Centre for Parents and Children, now part of the Children's Mental Health Centre at the Primary Health Care, and is the author of the books Árin sem enginn man and Fyrstu 1000 dagarnir.
